New prices, new framework and you

We’ve been busy preparing for the October 2015 pricing round, locking sites and purchase lists with CCS and contacting customers to confirm billing rate requirements (like payment terms). We had an excellent 45% response rates in July when we sent out the site list confirmation emails, so to those who responded - thank you so much.

There are some big changes heading your way this October, so I’ve put together a some questions and answers that may help you understand how these changes affect you:

What’s changing?
From 1 April 2016 we will be moving to a new framework.

This means that we need to issue 2 sets of prices. One set from October to March this year (under the ‘old’ framework), and another one from April to September (as part of the ‘new’ framework).

How will you be impacted?
Two sets of prices issued in the next few weeks could impact your budgeting and bill validation processes.

What we’re doing to help
We’re contacting customers to let them know what to expect from these new sets of prices. If you think you will be impacted then you can call or email us.

How does this help me save?
October members have been able to request changes for April 2016, updating their payment terms and making the move onto Pass-through invoicing, optimising savings potential. This is an opportunity to change your options when normally you are unable to.

What are the benefits of Pass-through invoicing?
You’ll have more detail on your invoices as Distribution and Transmission costs are featured separately to your unit rate. The actual cost of energy you use is clearer and as you can directly influence these costs (through managing consumption), it’s easier to access higher savings.
