Introducing The Pod - Learn, Act and Inspire

About The Pod

The Pod is a free online learning resource for teachers, community group leaders and children. It’s designed with three main aims:

  1. To inspire young people and their families to choose a more sustainable lifestyle.
  2. To promote Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) and encourage science and engineering as a career choice.
  3. To help children understand that a low carbon, secure and affordable energy supply is vital for the future.

All of the resources are aimed at 4-14 year olds and cover the topics of energy, waste, water, transport, biodiversity and climate science.

How to use The Pod

Teachers, community group leaders and local authorities can register for this free programme at jointhepod.org.

Once you’ve registered, you’ll have full access to our interactive website. You’ll find free lesson plans, practical activities, assemblies, films, games and information, all with cross-curricular links.

There is also lots to see on the Pod without registering, including and films and games, news and blogs, so take a look today.
